Identity-Based Encryption (IBE)

A public-key scheme that derives a recipient's encryption key from an identity such as an email address, removing the need for pre-enrolled certificates or keys. FortiMail uses IBE to deliver encrypted mail to external recipients through a web portal, which is also the surface exposed by CVE-2026-104286.
